Nishat,Sachin get wild cards for main draw

Nishant Eqbal,Sachin Kumarr,Rabjeet Singh and Dheeranshu Bhati have been given wild cards in the boys' under-16 singles main draw of the All Indian Tennis Association Championships which begins on Monday at the CLTA Stadium in Sector 10 on Saturday.

Prinkle Singh,Vanshika Sawhney,Shweta Sangwan and Simran Kapoor are the wild card entrants in the girls’ under-16 singles main draw.

Meanwhile,qualifying round matches were conducted in the boys’ under-12 singles and under-16 singles first and second round matches at the CLTA Courts and Lake Sports Complex courts. In the boys’ U-12 singles category,Ishan Kaushal won his second round match against Anmol Goel with a margin of 8-6 while it was tough going for Leonardo Pamei as he ended the challenge of Abir Hiranandan with a narrow 8-6 win. In another match in the same category,Gurdil Khera ended the challenge of Anmol Rattan Kamboj with a 8-6 win while Manik Dawar scored a 8-2 win over Ishan Loomba to march into next round. Rohit Kumar scored a 8-4 win over Samarth Bhardwaj while Siddharth Meena ended the challenge of Viksit Verma with a narrow 8-6 win. In another match in the same category,Sagar bains scored an easy 8-1 win over Sohrab Kalia while Ankit Rao ended the challenge of Satya Mitra with an easy 8-1 win.
