The Bhoiwada police have made no progress so far in the bank heist case in which Rs 28 lakh was robbed from the Apla Sahakari Bank on May 24. Despite the police releasing the sketches of the suspects,on one has come forward to identify the suspects.

The police also rounded up a few notorious criminals and history sheeters with past records but have not been able to make any breakthrough yet.

“Initially we thought our computer generated sketches of the accused were not good enough,so we called an expert from JJ College of Arts to get hand made sketches. But we have not got any positive response yet,” said Police Inspector R More of the Bhoiwada police.

“The silver coloured Maruti in which the accused fled with the cash was stolen from Naupada in Thane and was abandoned at Acharya Dhonde Marg. Later the accused boarded a taxi from Ram Tekdi. They might have divided the loot in the taxi or at least in the area. We went around showing their sketches to people, but no one had recognised the duo yet,” said More.

He added,“We have also rounded up troublemakers and history sheeters in the area but so luck so far.”
