Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao said while delivering a keynote address at a conference on South Asia-2020.

Rubbishing Pakistan's allegations that India is providing arms to the Taliban in South Waziristan, New Delhi has said that there is no truth in these accusations.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a seminar, she said, "There is no factual basis for such accusations ".

India wants a peaceful and stable Pakistan, she added.

Rao also downplayed the recent objections raised by China on Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama's, proposed visit to Tawang

She said there are no strains in the relationship between India and China.

Earlier, while addressing a gathering at the annual Day function of the Institute of Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA), Rao described Sino-Indian ties as "complex", and aded that it would take some time to resolve all outstanding issues including the boundary dispute between the two neighbours.

On restarting the composite dialogue with Pakistan, she said it would be "realistically possible" only after Islamabad dismantled the infrastructure of terrorism on its soil.

"We have conveyed many times our desire to engage in meaningful dialogue with Pakistan, but a dialogue with Pakistan was "realistically possible only after Pakistan dismantled the infrastructure of terrorism on its soil. Pakistan must fulfil its commitment not to allow its territory to be used for terror activities against India," she said.

Pakistan's military spokesperson Major General Athar Abbas had alleged on Tuesday that Pakistani security forces had seized Indian-made arms and equipment from the Taliban bastion of South Waziristan and added that Islamabad would soon raise the issue through diplomatic channels.

Ignore PakisBy: Hero Vaz | 05-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward India should not waste its time over the Pakis. There are far better things on which to spend time.
Allegation of India funding TalibanBy: Veliyam Sasi | 04-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward Pakis are masters of bluff, whole world know what they are capable of. The present bunch of ruling class in Pak has surpassed all the records of childish and irresponsible statements and actions. It is totally futile to expect them to behave in a responsible manner. It is better to leave them to their destiny. No point talking or making any deal with such a nation. For the last 60 years we have been trying to solve our problems through negotiations and we could not make any progress. All such efforts have been thwarted by state/non state actors time and again. Now let us snap all the links and forget about Pak. Concentrate on our border/internal security to thwart any misadventure of state or non-state actors.
WHO DOEST KNOW WHAT INDIA IS UP TO ?By: javaid51 | 04-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward Dear reader, We all know what indian govt has been doing since the birth of Pakistan,i wonder if pakistan had not shown idnians that we do posess the nuclear weapons, they could have certainly swallowed this country, but they say AS YOU SOW SO SHELL YOU REAP,india too is busy having to sort out the insurgency problem in their country. Question is who is helping them to carry out daily attacks on indian police men and civilians? India wants to show its hegmony, which will not work, its matter of time when we will see chinese forces attacking indian territeries. To be honest, india govt should work to improve the condition of their country men who are living below poverty level, they all know,so dont pretend to join the civilised nations, you need to do lot of work to improve the situation at home,so join hands with your neighbour and help and be helped. With tremendous resources in this region, all the ecnomic problem can be solved mutually.
Failed Faith, Failed StateBy: Arindam | 04-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward You're wasting your time. Pakistan was doomed, because it was founded on the basis of a cult started by an Arab bandit who died fourteen centuries ago. Even if India had shown all the goodwill in the world, Pakistan would have had no future. As it is, India has been far more kind to Pakistan than the latter deserved. Your wounds are self-inflicted - your creed is the cause.

Nothing but game planBy: Umesh | 04-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward While there is a strong possibility of Pakistan dialogue scripted by China, the main aim of the Pakistan leadership is that they are not really happy with the way the Pakistan common people hate the Indians. If they can convince the Pakistan population that all these trouble of suicide bombing, terror attack happening in Pakistan is just because of the Taliban getting all sort of help from India. It is also advisable to check if there is some gangs within the Indian army who betray India by passing on its arms and amunation to Pakistan for monetory benefits, quiet possible, becuase an LKG going child in India can say that even if cought red handed, one is not going to get punished... But Pakistan's main game is that Taliban had already supported Pakistan army to fight against India if they get a chance. Pakistan is also expecting its own common citizen to extend the same spirit, irrespective of their financial, educational and other status, Pak leaders always wanted their population to
