No insurance, Rlys has assurance

  • The Rail Bhavan went through anxious moments recently when it was realised that the Railways had been running without insurance for passengers for almost two months, as it had failed to renew an annual contract that expired on September 19. The ministry stepped in to promptly clarify that the lack of an insurance did not impact the passengers, as in case of an accident it would pay the compensation irrespective of an insurance back-up or not.
