On the controversy over the appointment of A N Roy as the state Director General of Police (DGP), Patil said Roy had proceeded on leave, and they had sent a letter to the UPSC asking for the eligible officers to be empanelled. He added that the state Government would take a decision on approaching the Supreme Court against the HC order after legal advice.
