No point talking about one who’s left: Amar on Azam

Amar Singh has denied to comment on Azam Khan against whom he had complained to the Election Commission on the Jaya Prada issue.

Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh on Wednesday refused to comment on dissident leader Azam Khan against whom he had complained to the Election Commission on the Jaya Prada issue. “There is no point in talking about somebody who has left,” Singh quipped when asked to comment on Khan, who has been engaged in a campaign against SP’s sitting MP from Rampur,Jaya Prada.

Singh added that party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav had asked him not to comment on Khan, but he had made a mistake by commenting on Khan during a rally in Rampur last week. “That is the only time I had dared to disobey my party chief. Both myself and Mulayam Singh Yadav are like two bodies but one soul,I will not repeat this mistake again,” he said while speaking to mediapersons here. Singh said that despite facing opposition from BJP,BSP,Congress and even rebel SP leader Azam Khan,Jaya Prada will win from Rampur by a heavy margin.

“Just like Mulayam Singh Yadav is alone combating BSP in Uttar Pradesh,Jaya Prada is fighting against the combined might of BSP,Congress,BJP and Azam Khan in Rampur. She will, however, win by a heavy margin,” he said. On the future strategy of SP after elections, the party general secretary said Mulayam,Lalu Prasad and Ram Vilas Paswan will together decide upon how to take their alliance ahead.
