  • Uttar Pradesh police said on Thursday that it has found no record of the visit by American terror suspect David Coleman Headley to the state.

Additional Director General (Law and Order) Brijlal told reporters in Lucknow in reply to a question that the state police had checked all the records but Headley's movement was found nowhere in the state.

"All records of the past three years in the name of Headley and his alias name Dawood Zilani were thoroughly checked but no movement of Headley was found", he claimed. About reports of activity of sleeping modules related to Headley and terror group Lashkar-e-Toiba, Brijlal said there was no such information.

He said the state police are yet to receive any alert from the Centre on the possibility of terror strike in the wake of Headley's visit to five Indian cities including Lucknow and Agra.
