Being an international tourist spot,Goa is always on alert, says CM.

Goa Chief Minister Digambar Kamat said on Friday that no specific ‘alert’ has been issued in the state following the latest serial blasts in Mumbai.

“We are always on alert. Goa is an international tourist destination so we cannot take chance. Whether something happens in the neighbouring state or not,Goa has to be on alert,” Kamat told reporters.

Few hours after Mumbai blasts,Goa police had claimed that the state was on red alert.

Police had intensified its presence at crowded places like bus stands, railway stations and markets. All the vehicles entering and leaving the state were also thoroughly checked.
