The police plans to file an appeal in court and seek the custody of Shailendra Chauhan, alias Uday Singh, arrested from Nand Nagri by a special team of the Delhi Police on Saturday.

The police were intimated by the Delhi Police that Singh allegedly murdered Conrad Dominic Xavier,an HCL call centre employee,on October 20 last year. Dominic’s body was found in Noida’s Sector 27.

Ashok Tripathi,SP (City) Noida, said the police has prepared documents and will be filing an appeal in court seeking Singh’s remand for further investigations in the murder case. “He has confessed to the murder of Dominic,a call centre employee living in a church in Noida. There were several attacks on clergymen in Noida. He could be crucial to solving those cases too,” Tripathi said.

In January,a priest of the Saint Mary Church in Noida’s Sector 34 was stabbed and wounded critically. The police claim to have nearly solved that case.
