Noida has turned to Sentosa to model its first international park. Drawing inspiration from the island resort in Singapore, the Noida Authority plans to develop a Laser Park in Sector 91. The park, complete with musical fountains, laser lights and sound systems, will be spread over 29 acres. It will have open theatres, pathways, even plants that grow in Sentosa. The park will also have its own marine aquarium. Officials claim it will be the first-of-its-kind laser park in North India. There will be a two-feet deep artificial lake spread over three acres. We will generate artificial waves to give a feel of the sea. Tourists can experience the joys of a sea shore while at the park, an official said. The Authority hopes to develop a resort. Our target is to provide every basic facility at the park. We are open to suggestions. People visiting the park will be mesmerised by the sound, laser and light shows at the park, the official promised. The moment we thought of developing a park of international standards,Sentosa came to mind. Within the limited area,we have managed to plan every entertainment activity for people of every age. One such park is planned for Hyderabad but it is yet to be developed, said Mohinder Singh, chairman of Noida Authority. The Authority has approved a budget of Rs 20 crore to develop the park. We will seek help from international experts and architects to develop the state-of-the-art park, he said.
