Sanjay Dutt appears in court,gets bail in another case

Shakeel Noorani had alleged that he is being threatened by underworld on Sanjay Dutt's behest.

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt was granted bail in connection with a case filed by film producer Shakeel Noorani.

The actor appeared before the court hours after non-bailable warrant was issued against him.

Shakeel Noorani is involved in a financial dispute with Sanjay Dutt and had alleged that he is being threatened by underworld on Sanjay Dutt’s behest.

Noorani has sought damages to the tune of Rs 2.03 crore from the actor for abandoning his film Jaan Ki Baazi. He had also alleged that Sanjay Dutt had not given dates for shooting as a result of which the film was incomplete and he had to suffer losses of Rs 1.53 crore.

The apex Court had recently given Sanjay Dutt a grace period of four more weeks to surrender in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case.

The actor,who is busy wrapping up his movies in hand,will now surrender in May to complete the remaining prison term.
