Rejecting the bail application of Nooriya Haveliwala,a beautician arrested after her SUV hit a police jeep and a bike in South Mumbai killing two including police sub-inspector Dinanath Shinde,a sessions court on Friday said there was ample prima facie evidence against her. The nature of the offence is too serious, the court observed. Relatives of Afzal Maknejia,35,the biker killed in the accident and the family of Shailesh Jadhav,one of the four injured traffic constables,had opposed the bail plea. Nooriyas lawyer said they would challenge the order in the Bombay High Court.
