As He awaits the decision regarding allotment of a front-row seat in the Lok Sabha, former Railway Minister and RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav is also struggling to save the “spacious” office allotted to his party in the Parliament following the significant decrease in its strength.
The RJD office (room 129) on the third floor of Parliament has been allotted to the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). Lalu, however, is not ready to give up and has met Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar in a bid to retain it.
“Our room has been allotted to the BSP. Our leader Laluji has met Speaker Meira Kumar in this regard and we are hopeful that it will remain with us,” said leader of the RJD in the Rajya Sabha, Jabir Hussain. The RJD was allotted the big room for its office in the 14th Lok Sabha when it commanded a strength of 24 MPs — that has been reduced to just four now.
