Life on Stage
RIMS International School & Junior College recently celebrated its 6th Annual Concert - 'Seasons of Life' at the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Hall. The students of Std VIII performed a musical drama titled, 'Seasons of the Sun' scripted and directed by Jitendra Pawar, Niche Stage Kraft. The play depicted the different stages of life through entertaining dance performances. Dr P K De, Director ISB&M was the chief guest at the occasion and Dr Lalita Edwards, founder and president of Santavana, home for HIV positive children, was the guest of honour. The celebrations included the felicitation of Haris Khan, a student of Std VII for being awarded the National Award for Excellence in Arts by the President of India on November 15 in Delhi.
Christmas Celebrations
Like every year, the Pune Navratro Mahotsav Community organised a Christmas Eve celebration at Sahakarnagar's Vasantrao Bagul Garden. The programme was conducted between 5 and 10 pm. More than 10,000 children from different schools were accompanied by their parents. Santa Claus and dance shows were a part of this cultural programme. The children were offered free camel rides, caps and other freebies while Santa Claus gave away chocolates, biscuits and popcorn. There were also food stalls and a musical laser show.
