Differing with the BJP over its criticism of Rahul Gandhi's visit to villages, RSS has said it was good to talk about villages and see the plight of people living in rural areas.

"Bharatiya ho kar gaon ki baat karne mein galat kya hai... sabhi bharatiya ko gaon jana chahiye aur uski baat karni chahiye (every Indian should visit the villages and

talks about it there is nothing wrong in it)," RSS media in-charge Mohan Vaidya said in Rajgir on Friday.

He was asked about BJP's criticism of Gandhi's visit to rural households. The BJP has termed as "farce" the Congress leader's visit to Dalit villages in Uttar Pradesh.

Stressing the need for accelerating village-centric development, Vaidya said RSS felt that it would come in handy in reining in migration of people from one state to another in search of jobs.

"Migration from villages should be stopped and development must be defined in a village centric manner," Vaidya said on the second day of the three day-long meeting of the Executive Committee of the organisation inaugurated by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat here.

He said the meeting, the first-ever of the outfit in Bihar, would discuss issues related to internal security in the wake of threat from Maoists, cross border terrorism, disputes related to Indo-China, Indo-Pakistan borders, environmental pollution and adopt separate resolutions.

Referring to environmental pollution, Vaidya said the problem should not be addressed the way the western countries have suggested. "India should consider the problem from its own point of view and take remedies."

rahul-as a torch bearerBy: rama shanker chaurasia | 12-Jan-2010 Reply | Forward in accordance with the specialization about the systemetic method of supervisionig anything which is more nad more required now a days in our country. so at the crucial stage of developing india everything should be done very good and initiantion also must be pompous so pertaining to reformation rahul gandhi is right according to his way of doing work anything with smartness. everybody knows that he is young and despite having youngness he is very patient about his work....so this is his way of work of reformation....some days ago he started reading history and by this penchant he will try to be known that the mistake that was made by ancestor it should not be reiterete so if initiation should be very full of cautious ......so everyone should accept that this is his way of reformation.noone those who belong to opposition should waste their time for spending i this activity and they also invent some other technique for reformation and it is fully possible not dream it will be alive....
Mr. RahulBy: Paul Jacob | 15-Oct-2009 Reply | Forward Every Indian should be connected with Indian villages and its people. It is good to see that Rahul is doing that.Hopefully he will be a good leader who can talk from his heart – not a politician. A real good leader who can go in front.
village visitBy: Grameen Singhal | 14-Oct-2009 Reply | Forward Rahul should visit village. But why visit only in Maya-ist infested areas ? Why not in Maoist / Naxal infested villages ? Also , is Rahul looking for a village bride or city one ? Does RSS know yet ?
leadership of austerity and pain for the poorBy: CHANDRAN | 10-Oct-2009 Reply | Forward Each and every MP gets 5 crores each year for their constituency development. how many mps are utilizing this money for constructive activities. if they consruct at least 50 houses in year of 1 lac each, that means 50 lacs out of 500 lacs. Are they doing it? If Rahul is so wrried about the plight of the poor, he should take the MP from the constituency also along with him, and tell him to spend money for the poor. Construct a building of 10 or 20 flats at a suitable location and accmodate 20 homeless people. like this every year they can do. in 5 years the shelter will be ready. instead of doing this, he is interested in showing off.
SLEEPING IN VILLAGESBy: YOHAN | 10-Oct-2009 Reply | Forward until he becomes the pm,he'll show all these gimmicks, without going deep into the plight of the poor people.what happened to kalavati, who rahul spoke about in parliament.she is being helped not by congress ruled govt or congress, but by private orgn.rahul says kalavati will prosper when energy comes to india through n-deal.that means she has to wait for another 10 years.no further action has been taken by the govt to generate even 100mw of energy.now the usa say india has to sign npt to pursue the n-deal.what an irony. once rahul becomes pm on congress' own majority, he will forget the plight of the poor and will roam then not the villages, but the cities around the world, accompanied by nsg. during his recent visit to tn n kerala,he spend more than 2 crores (as part of austerity!!!)to garner support for him.an iaf aircraft was spared to fetch bullet proof cars from delhi. the same iaf refused an aircraft for transporting dead bodies after kerala boat tragedy recently.austerity
