A senior Air India official,meanwhile,said co-pilot Aditya Chopra has come out clean in the probe.

NCW chairperson Girija Vyas told Newsline that the Air India management has been asked to take stern action and submit a report in the case with regard to Supreme Court’s guidelines against sexual harassment at workplaces. “NCW will also conduct an independent inquiry into the incident,” she said.

Sources in the Air India management said submission of the probe was taking time as it was to be submitted to the airline’s regional director for northern India,who was out of station till late Monday evening.

A senior AI official said it has been recorded that co-pilot Chopra did use foul language. “So far,it is clear that there has been no attempt to outrage the modesty of a woman. There was pushing and shoving,for which stern action will be taken against the pilot,Ranbir Arora,” a source close to the probe said.
