Be it opening a college or an application for permanent affiliation, educational institutes will now get all the information under one umbrella. Lex Eye Services has come up with an information bank for educational institutes that gives relevant data on essential compliances required by the regulatory bodies.

Addressing the media on Monday, Manoj Wadekar, consultant of Lex Eye Services, said the colleges will get primary information free of cost. “Charges will be applicable, if consultancy is required,” he said.

Wadekar said the idea was to provide all the information in a consolidated form. “Many times, colleges do not know about the compliances to be fulfiled for gaining recognition from regulatory bodies like UGC, AICTE, MCI, etc. In such cases, the information bank will be of great help as at present, there is no machinery that provides this information under one umbrella,” he said.

The bank consists of all the relevant ordinances, statutes, GRs and guidelines. “We will be giving services only to recognised institutes and not to the autonomous ones,” said Wadekar.

“The information book will be useful especially for rural educational institutes where this information is not readily available,” said Wadekar. “We have a team of 20 experts who are practicing lawyers to give consultancy. In addition, there are consultants on our board who are experts in education field,” he said.
