Now,business bestsellers as comics!

Dull,statistics-laden business tomes have been spiced up for the Twitter,Facebook generation.

Technical-jargon laden and long-winding business books can sometimes make dull readings but now a US-based publisher is releasing some of the business bestsellers in the form of comics, making the books “lively” and appealing to the “Twitter and Facebook generations”.

Book packaging and marketing outfit Round Table Companies has partnered with nonfiction comics publisher SmarterComics to produce a line of comic books based on bestselling business, motivational and personal self-help titles.

Among the titles coming out next month in graphic novel form are personal motivator Larry Winget’s business bestseller ‘Stop Whining & Get a Life’,sales and marketing guru Tom Hopkins’ ‘How to Master the Art of Selling’,performance psychologist John Eliot’s ‘Overachievement’ and technology magazine Wired’s editor-in-chief Chris Anderson’s ‘The Long Tail: Why the Future of Business Is Selling Less of More’.

“We are taking the PowerPoint version of these books and illustrating them out. The series is perfect for busy professionals and the Twitter and Facebook generations, all of which are inundated with information and prefer to grab lessons in a quick and entertaining format,” Round Table founder Corey Michael Blake said.

Self-help,business and motivational nonfiction bestsellers would be turned into “lively, visually appealing comics, for a generation of readers who want valuable information in easy to understand bits,” Blake added.

The comic books will be 60-70 pages each and would take only 30-40 minutes to read. Winget’s 229-page ‘Stop Whining’ will become a 51-page comic.

SmarterComics will release the books digitally through the iPad,iPhone,iPod Touch,Kindle and other digital readers. Print volumes will sell for about USD 13 and digital versions for USD 10.
