Now,’moral policing’ at juice shops!

A suspected case of moral policing was reported from Mangalore when couples at a juice shop were questioned regarding their religious affiliations.

After pubs,the moral police of Mangalore seem to have set their sights on policing couples at juice shops in the district. A suspected case of moral policing was reported from Mangalore on Wednesday when two couples at a juice shop were questioned by a group of five youths regarding their religious affiliations.

A youth who identified himself as belonging to a minority community was allegedly roughed up for mingling with Hindu girls. No police complaint was,however,filed though the statements of the girls were recorded.

Meanwhile,the BJP Government the state has approved the transfer of the incumbent Mangalore Superintendent of Police N Satheesh Kumar to Bidar district in north Karnataka. A former additional SP of Mangalore and recent SP of the neighbouring Udupi district A Subramanyeshwar Rao is set to be appointed the SP of Mangalore.
