Showing off their mettle, New Public School, Sector 18, outplayed hosts St Xavier's School, Sector 44, Chandigarh by a margin of 56-31 in the final match of the Inter-School St Xavier's Basketball Tournament that concluded at St Xavier's School, Sector 44, Chandigarh on Saturday. Abhishek (21) and Amit (19) were the main scorers for New Public School while Gursher (10) netted the maximum goals for St Xavier's School. Meanwhile, Parvesh was declared as best player of the tournament.
Billiards Championship from Dec 12
The 28th Chandigarh Billiards and Snooker Championship will be played from December 12. The championship will be played in the senior and junior categories in both men and women's categories. The entries for the tournament will close at 7.00 pm on December 9.
Roller skating state meet on anvil
The Chandigarh State Roller Skating Championship will be held at Kailash Bahl D.A.V Centenary Public School Sector 7-B, Chandigarh from December 21 to December 23. Chandigarh teams for the upcoming National Roller Skating Championship will be selected on the basis of the performance of the players during this meet. Entries for the State championship will be received at the venue by Yash (09855435753) from December 17 to December 19 during evening.
