
National Security Advisor M K Narayanan and Foreign secretary Shivshanker Menon are leaving for Sri Lanka on Wednesday.
As first reported by The Indian Express, the two special envoys - on behalf of the Indian government - will convey India's concerns on the plight of Tamils.
They are expected to press for a devolution package for the Tamil minorities and are also expected to offer rehabilitation package for the displaced Tamils.
This development comes within days of LTTE supremo V Prabhakharan being killed.
