One may call it undying ambition or undiminished drive, but the BJPs old guard continues to be in battle mould. No,we are not talking of Vijay Kumar Malhotra. It is 86-year-old former vice-president Bhairon Singh Shekhawat who has set the BJP tongues wagging after word spread that he had shown willingness to contest the Jaipur Lok Sabha seat. It all started when the Rajasthan stalwart met BJP prime ministerial candidate L K Advani the other day and is believed to have told him,I am your age,pre-empting any effort to remind him of his advancing years. Advani, foreseeing larger implications of Shekhawats move, has not made any commitment so far.
