Omar seeks support for early release of Malkangiri collector

Omar extended his support for release of the IAS officer on a campaign launched on micro blogging site Twitter.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has extended support to an Internet campaign seeking release of abducted Malkangiri District Collector R V Krishna.

“Abducted DM Vineel Krishna at Malkangiri is a very nice person. I seek support for his early and safe release,” Omar re-tweeted last evening.

The chief minister sought to enlist the support of other micro-bloggers by urging them to re-tweet the message.

30-year-old Krishna was abducted on February 16 by a group of 50 Maoists when he was on a visit to the remote Chitrakonda area,a Maoist stronghold,to attend a camp for local development.
