OMDC shares plunge 5% on delay in bonus issue

Shares of Orissa Minerals Development Company Ltd (OMDC) tanked 5 per cent to hit the lowest trading permissible limit for the day amid postponement of the board meeting to consider bonus issue.
Shares of OMDC plunged 5 per cent to touch its lower circuit limit of Rs 53,404.30 on the BSE.
At the NSE, the scrip lost 5 per cent to Rs 52,561.15.
In a filing to the BSE, the company said the meeting scheduled to be held today is postponed due to some unavoidable circumstances.
The company did not indicate any fresh date for a meeting to consider the issue of bonus shares.
Meanwhile, in the stock market, the BSE benchmark Sensex ended at 17,384.40, down 45.16 points.
