On environment day, city joins the call for ‘green action’

    Social activist Gaurav Gaur painted his back to spread the message.

    He also appreciated the efforts of students and teachers in schools in setting up eco-clubs for conserving the environment.

    In his welcome address, UT Finance Secretary Sanjay Kumar said Chandigarh has over 35 per cent area under green cover which will be further increased with the implementation of Green Action Plan envisaging the plantation of more than one million trees.
