Tena Desae (in the picture) is all set to do a Freida Pinto. The leggy lass,familiar to many as the Hero Honda Dhak Dhak Go girl,will be making her big screen debut in not one,but two movies. One of her films is the highly anticipated Hollywood project,Best Exotic Marigold Hotel,starring Dev Patel. Desae is quite cagey when prodded for details about her big Hollywood debut,but she does reveal that she will play the Slumdog Millionaire stars love interest. The casting director Seher Latif knew me and got in touch with my agency,Elite,to ask me to audition, she explains.

Besides the British-born and raised Patel,Desaes other co-stars in the movie include biggies like Dames Judi Dench and Maggi Smith,Bill Nighy and Tom Wilkinson. I cant talk too much about the movie because Ive signed a confidentiality agreement, she says.

However,Desae is eager to talk about her Bollywood debut,Yeh Faasley,set to release on March 4. I play a strong,independent girl who returns from boarding school to find that her father (played by Anupam Kher) with whom she shares a loving relationship is hiding some things from her. Its the story of her journey to finding out the truth. The young actress will later be seen in a comedy,Sharafat Gayi Tel Lene,alongside Zayed Khan.

Desae arrived in Mumbai four years ago from Bangalore to pursue a career in acting. She participated in the third season of Channel Vs Get Gorgeous,where she failed to win the top spot. But she managed to snare some plum commercial assignments,including Fastrack,Mirinda,Fair & Lovely,ICICI and Nescafe.

Explaining her detour towards modelling,she says,I figured that it was the best way to get noticed and to eventually make my way towards acting.
