His father describes him as a boy who never glued to books but remained focused on career. Today,the fan of Rahul Gandhi,Subhojit Ghosh stands tall as the topper in the ISC examination with 99.25 per cent marks. A student of St Joseph’s College,Ghosh secured 100 marks in mathematics,100 in computer science,99 in physics,98 in English,94 in chemistry,92 in Bengali and 97 in environmental studies. Keen to pursue aerospace or mechanical engineering,Ghosh is a die-hard fan of Nirvana and Bengali rock band Fossils. Hoping to secure a rank in between 500 to 600 in his IIT entrance exam,he is addicted to Facebook.

Masoom Manpuria
Securing 98.5 per cent in ISC exams has left Masoom elated. A commerce student of La Martiniere,doing MBA from an IIM is her dream. She will join BCom honours and simultaneously take CA classes. With her parents owning an audit firm,being a CA will help her to assist them. A Harry Potter fan,Masoom likes to read books of Amitava Ghosh and Khaled Hossaini.

Tuhin Chowdhury
The commerce student of Bhawanipore Gujarati Education Society School,Tuhin secured 98.5 per cent in ISC exams. He supports Manmohan Singh government and Rahul Gandhi and dreams of becoming a Chartered Accountant. “I am happy that I crossed 94 per cent. I studied for 12 to 13 hours before my exams,” said Tuhin.

Swati Sultania
Never compare yourself with others and judge only by your own performance. Following the adage,the commerce student secured 98.25 per cent in ISC exams. Inspired by her father,Swati always dreamt to pursue BCom and CA. She is an accomplished Kathak dancer and loves books of John Grisham and Daniel Steel.

Ankita Mukherjee
A science student from Assembly of God Church in Asansol,Ankita,scored 98.6 per cent marks in ICSE exams and now wants to become a doctor. She enjoyes suspense thrillers and murder mysteries,especially of Jeffery Archer and Robin Cook. However,she does not want to study in Asansol and wants to go either Kolkata or Delhi to join any CBSE school for plus two.

Subir Roy
A politically-conscious Subir secured 98 per cent marks in his ICSE exams. Studying only three to four hours a day was enough for this La Martiniere student. He wants to pursue science in plus two and later take up either psychology or computer engineering.

Sikhar Patranobish
Sikhar secured 98 per cent marks in ICSE from Vivekananda Missions School and now wants to pursue research in computer engineering from IITs. Despite studying over 12 hours a day,he finds enough time for his passion — tabla.

Prerona Dutta
After securing 97.6 per cent in ICSE,Prerona wants to take up research in mathematics,simply because she loves figures. The student of Future Foundation School slogged for 12 hours before her board exams. A brown belt in Karate,she is also a bookworm.
