A land deal dispute led to murder in Yeshwant Nagar, Yerawada, on Sunday evening. The deceased has been identified as Manoj Khandu Jadhav (26), a native of Khopoli in Raigad district.

Police have booked Amol Punaji Mane (29) of Yerawada for allegedly murdering Jadhav. Police said Amol and Jadhav had worked together in land deals, but went their separate ways following disputes.

On Sunday, around 7.30 pm, Jadhav and his friend Satish Mane went to Yeshwant Nagar, where they had a brawl with the suspect, Amol Mane. Amol attacked Jadhav and Satish with a hockey stick and sharp weapons. All of them were injured and rushed to hospital. Jadhav was pronounced dead on arrival. Amol Mane has been admitted to Sassoon Hospital.
