One killed,8 injured in a clash with CPM activists

A Trinamool Congress supporter was killed and eight others were injured in clashes with CPI(M) activists in South 24 Parganas district,police sources said.

A Trinamool Congress supporter was killed and eight others were injured in clashes with CPI(M) activists in South 24 Parganas district on Sunday,police sources said.

In the first incident,a group of CPI(M) activists got into an argument on the issue of setting up a club at Gondaberia area under Mandir Bazar police station of the district,the sources said.

The CPI(M) activists then beat up the TC supporters in which six persons were injured.

Two of the injured were admitted to Mathurapur hospital while four others were admitted to hospital here,where one of injured–Shyamal Hazari succumbed to his injuries,they said.

In the second clash at Bonomolipur area of the district,armed CPI(M) activists today allegedly evicted some Trinamool Congress supporters from their homes and ransacked them in which three persons were injured,police sources said.
