Trying to unravel what went on in House No D-5 in Noida’s Sec 31, from which body parts were recovered, police are seeking clues from domestic helps who worked there.
Police are questioning the last domestic help, one Maya of Mushirabad, who lives with her husband Kishan in Nithari village. And the family of another, Nanda Devi, who like many others in the area, went missing all of a sudden, suspects house owner Moninder Singh Pandher and his cook Surendra alias Satish had a hand in it.
A senior police officer said investigators want to find out how much Maya knew about the goings-on in the house. He said they are not ruling out the possibility that Maya may have had a hand in luring into the house some of the women or children who went missing.
Dilbahadur Shahi, 36, the unemployed husband of Nanda Devi, says he’d all along been suspicious, given what his wife, now missing for two months, used to tell him.
He said Nanda Devi, 33, had also worked for Moninder for around six months.
Police now say Nanda Devi was among those Surendra had confessed to killing.
“It was a year back they employed my wife to scrub the floors and wash clothes. Every day she told me of what happened in the house,” said Shahi. He said his wife had told him Moninder and his cook brought home women every night in his car, some of them foreigners.
He said one day Moninder told Nanda Devi he wanted a masseur.
