  • After potatoes, prices of onion too are set to hit the sky, with Chief Statistician of India Pronab Sen saying the supply will be badly hit because of flood in Andhra Pradesh. State Finance Minister Asim Dasgupta today said onion yield has suffered because the areas where it’s cultivated — like Kurnool district in Andhra, Bellary in Karnataka and Nasik in Maharashtra — have been ravaged by floods.
