Officials said, the entire examination schedule of the first semester is likely to get affected owing to the postponement.
University administration started online submission of forms from this academic year with an aim to ease burden on staff and streamline the examination procedure. Students from all the 10 faculties were required to submit details of the subjects they would appear for and the colleges were to verify and endorse these forms.
However, owing to the technical glitch the information submitted by students could not be verified. The varsity issues Permanent Registration Numbers and hall tickets based on verified information.
Question papers for different subjects are also prepared relying on this information, said an official requesting anonymity.
We cannot issue candidate list and hall tickets till we get the summary report. We were supposed to send the hall tickets to the colleges by August 31, the official said.
