Mani Nandini Sharma and Navpreet Grewal Dhillon opened their exhibition-cum-sale of their paintings at Aafreen Art Gallery, Gurdev Nagar, here today. The exhibition titled “Kaleidoscope” will remain open till June 1.
Speaking about the exhibition, the painter duo remarked, “The title of the show itself speaks not only of the changing patterns of colors but also the forms of nature and human relationships around us. And all this has been depicted with remarkable effect by the two artists through the medium of their canvases displayed in the exhibition.”
Vijay Rai Dhanda, an eminent educationist, philanthropist and art-lover, inaugurated the exhibition amid the gathering of artists and art-lovers from all walks of life. Covering various realms of life and human relationships, Mani, an artist and art-teacher from Greater Noida, has skillfully used the semi-realistic figurative style to depict the intensity and variety in the relationships, deeply observed over the years by the artist in her.
Love for nature and its multifarious forms is the highlight of an array of 20 paintings from Navpreet’s studio. She is adept in dealing with the subtle beauties of the awe-inspiring nature. An extensively travelled person and being an army officer’s daughter, Navpreet has deftly transferred the images from her mind on to the canvases.
