As Pakistan continues to engage in dilly dallying tactics on prosecuting Jamaat-ud Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed,India on Monday said there is enough evidence to punish the “main brain behind” the Mumbai attacks and others and Islamabad should show “conviction” to go after them.
External Affairs Minister S M Krishna said India’s patience was being tested by the Pakistani process. “India has provided all the evidence through our dossiers…. We have provided dossiers on March 5 and 13,May 20,June 9 and August one and I don’t know what more do they want,” he told reporters here.
“If they (Pakistan) have the willingness, basic conviction than they should go after those who engineered the heinous attacks on India,on Mumbai,” he said.
Krishna said “whatever we have provided, according to our assessment, that is evidence enough to punish them and Saeed is one of those who is the main brain behind the attacks.” He pointed out that India had fulfilled its part of the obligation to punish those behind the attacks “and it is for Pakistan to act”. To a question,he said “it certainly is a test of patience of India.”
