A Pakistani national with more than 2.3 million fake Indian currency was arrested at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport on Saturday. Abdul Ghaffar who had arrived here from Doha was nabbed by the special police at the airport as he was going through immigration clearance. He had boarded Qatar Airways Flight from Doha, and as per the information he gave to the police, he was on his way to India.Ghaffar is being interrogated by the Kathmandu District Police. “He is found to be in possession of fake currency worth Rs 23, 96,000. He was traveling on a Pakistani Passport,” a police official said.
