Pak now has right to seek nuclear deal: PM Gilani

    Gilani indicated that Pakistan may seek a nuclear deal with its close ally China.

    On possible scrapping of the President's controversial powers under the 17th constitutional amendment, including the ability to dissolve the parliament and dismiss the premier, Gilani said the parliamentary leaders of different parties will be consulted to evolve consensus on this issue.

    pakistan"s foremost dutyBy: ABHISEKH SINGH | 17-Oct-2008 Reply | Forward since time US had ben an allay to PAKISTAN..now when US is having a deal with INDIA then PAKISTAN went for CHINA..is it some kind of a joke??PAKISTAN has to accept the reality that it wont be able to match with INDIA...militarily,,economically and geographically...surely it can have a nuclear deal..but the main thing that PAKISTAN should do now is to ban those terrorist outfits that are rampant in PAKISTAN....

Sure it will have all the rights to 'ask' for a similar deal, but whether it will get one or not is a different matter. Even with India's track record, it had a hard time convincing NSG and IAEA of its non-proliferation credentials. Wonder how AQK figures in their decisions when looking at proliferation.
