Pak singer’s promotional song removed from Hindi film

The producers of the Hindi film 'Jugaad' have removed the promotional video featuring Pakistani singer Adeel.

The producers of the Hindi film ‘Jugaad’,a satire on the sealing drive in Delhi,have removed the promotional video featuring Pakistani singer Adeel.

The popular Pakistani artiste says he had worked hard on the video and felt “devastated” on being informed that his song and video featured himself was chopped from the promotions.

The action is being seen as a fallout of Indo-Pak tension in the wake of terror attacks on Mumbai.

“I am feeling hurt and depressed. I don’t know why they did this to me. Mumbai is like a second home to me and I have receive much love and affection from the people of the city,” the singer told reporters over phone from Lahore.

Adeel’s song ‘Kise Awaaz Dun’ in ‘Jugaad’ was supposed to be promotional song for the film and the popular Pakistani singer had even shot a video for it. However,producer Sanddeep Kapur scrapped the song from promotions.

Adeel has also been left out from the music release of the film in Mumbai last week.

“We artistes have nothing to do with it. We,like the most of Indians are a victim of terror attacks too and the public of both sides understand this,” Adeel said.

The film starring Manoj Bajpai and Hrishita Bhatt is scheduled for release in February.

Meanwhile,Kapoor said,”Adeel is a dear friend but we had to remove the song from the movie as we can no longer ignore the situation. This is my way of saying that we are hurt.”
