President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday said Pakistan was determined to prosecute anybody "who is inclined towards aggressive mindset" in the wake of mounting international pressure to take action against Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed.

Zardari, who made a reference to Saeed having been slapped with fresh charges, however, refused to go into the details saying investigators were in a better position to comment on the JuD chief's case.

"The fact that he (Saeed) has been picked up, yes that is true. That is our determination to prosecute anybody who is inclined towards aggressive mindset," he told reporters here.

"In some cases there are people, in some cases abettors and in some cases people are supporters (of terrorism)," he said.

Pakistani police registered two cases against Saeed under the anti-terrorism act for inciting people to wage 'jehad' against "infidels", a senior police officer said.

Two FIRs against Saeed and one against his close aide Abu Jandal were registered at police stations in Faisalabad.

However, the the latest charges slapped on him have nothing to do with the 26/11 strikes.

"As far as Hafiz Saeed is concerned the investigation officer will tell you more than the President of Pakistan, I assure you that," Zardari said, adding "... the investigation officer can tell you more about the exact charges".
