
Two jawans of Border Security Force were injured while foiling an infiltration attempt by a group of terrorists from across the border in Jammu sector on Monday night.
Sources informed that informed that the BSF troops, posted on Durga border out post of the BSF, observed some suspicious movement on the border near the post.
The alert troops immediately swung into action and started firing to prevent infiltration of the terrorists.
The terrorists also retaliated the firing which continued for nearly two and a half hours, sources informed, adding that during the firing, two BSF jawans, who names were yet to be ascertained, received injuries and were taken to hospital.
However, the BSF troops managed to foil the infiltration attempt of the terrorists, who have increased such attempts in the wake of the on-going state assembly elections process.
