Panandikar appointed as the acting director of IMI

Dr. DH Pai Panandikar is the new Acting Director of International Management Institute (IMI). This was announced today by IMI.

Dr. Panandikar took over as Acting Director on December 2,2010 from Dr Pradip K. Bhaumik,the previous Acting Director. Dr. Bhaumik had taken over as Acting Director on April 16,2010 on the demise of the then Director,Dr. C. S. Venkata Ratnam. Dr. Bhaumik had requested that he be relieved of the responsibility so that he could go back to being a full-time Professor again at IMI.

An alumnus of University of Pune,Dr. Panandikar did his MA from University of Cambridge (UK) followed by his doctorate from University of Manchester. Apart from being a member of the advisory board of the National Investment Fund (Department of Disinvestment),Ministry of Finance,he is also President of RPG Foundation and Chairman of International Life Sciences Institute- India.
