Panasonic eyes Rs 10k cr revenue in 2 yrs

Consumer durables firm Panasonic India expects its sales to touch Rs 10,000 crore in 2012.

Consumer durables firm Panasonic India expects its sales to touch Rs 10,000 crore in 2012,riding on the back of its existing portfolio as well as from the launch of new entry level products.

“We are expecting to touch Rs 10,000 crore revenues in 2012. Apart from sales of TVs and air conditioners,the growth would be achieved from penetrating tier II and tier III cities with entry level products,” Panasonic India Director-Marketing Manish Sharma said.

The company,which expects to close the current fiscal with sales of Rs 3,200 crore,is eying revenues of Rs 5,000 crore in 2011 and Rs 10,000 crore in 2012.

The company,which recently unveiled the world’s largest 152-inch 3D full high definition plasma display for the first time in the country,is looking at various entry level products to drive its growth.
