Panic gripped villages along the international border in Pargwal sector as Pakistani mortar shells continued pounding the area later this evening. Sources said that Pakistani troops started mortar shelling on four border out posts around 6.30 pm. Though BSF were retaliating, the shelling from across the border had caused panic among villagers. Only yesterday,five civilians including a women were injured in unprovoked firing and mortar shelling by pakistan in the area. A BSF jawan was injured in firing in R S Pura sector. Meanwhile, sources said that though there has been no migration of villagers from any place along the international border so far,it can start anytime if Pakistani firing continued for some more days. What was troubling the villagers more was their standing paddy crop which they had been unable to harvest at many places due to Pakistani firing.
