In the complaint posted to NRI Cell through a registered post, the couple has sought protection. "We could submit the complaint personally as we apprehended that her parents would try to kidnap her. If this happens Kuldeep would perhaps be killed as they are taking it as a prestige issue," commented Kuldeep Singh Virk.
Kuldeep in her complaint has named her farther, mother, relatives residing in Bariana village in Jalandhar district and a police officer posted at Banga, district Hoshiarpur.
The incharge of NRI cell, Ludhiana Police, Navreet Singh said they had yet not received the copy of the complaint. "We'll look into it once we get the copy," he added.
