  • Students of government schools in Delhi, along with Parents and teachers gathered at the official residence of Education Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely on Sunday in protest against the non availability of books in government schools. The delay has been attributed to the change in curriculum from SCERT to the NCERT syllabus.

"In class VII, we have seven books in total but most people have only received two at most, how do we teach when there are no books?" said a class VIII science teacher.

The minister, meanwhile, has promised to look into the problem. Education Department officials also said that all books should be available in schools by the end of this month.
