Surendra Nagar, the Lok Sabha prabhari of the party, held a meeting in Greater Noida along with Rakesh Gautam, the district head of the party. People from Badalpur,Mayawati’s ancestral village, were also invited to the function held at Ambedkar Bhavan in Surajpur.

Criticising Opposition parties,Nagar said,“Allegations of corruption are baseless as party workers celebrate Behenji’s birthday out of their respect for her.”

“Opposition leaders themselves have enough cases of corruption against them,” he said, hinting at the criticism by Samajwadi leaders Amar Singh and Mulayam Singh Yadav a few days back.

Amar Singh had alleged that money given by BSP’s partymen as gift was a way of turning black money white.
