Peshawar is the capital of Pakistan’s restive North West Frontier Province (NWFP) where the security forces are fighting a Taliban insurgency. The province has witnessed a number of attacks by the Taliban militants.

Air Arabia added Peshawar as its destination to Pakistan alongside Karachi in 2007 to cater to the large number of Pakistani expatriates, and the airline operated three flights every week to the city.

The airline regretted any inconvenience caused to its passengers, assuring them that their safety and comfort remained the company’s priority.

Air Arabia commenced operations in October 2003 and currently serves 57 destinations from two hubs in UAE and Morocco.
