Petition demands CBI probe against Jagan

We are in a position to establish with conclusive proof material.

Telugu Desam Party leaders have filed a writ petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court, seeking a CBI investigation against former Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for allegedly indulging in corruption and money laundering when his father, late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, was the CM.

The petitioners alleged that Jaganmohan exercised undue influence over his late father, ministers and senior government officers to give benefits like land allotments, licences and permits to a few select persons who in turn paid kick-backs by buying shares in bogus companies floated by him.

Former TDP MP K Yerrannaidu, and MLAs P Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Bireddy Rajasekhara Reddy filed the petition on Monday.

The petitioners challenged the alleged failure of the Union Home Department,CBI,ACB and Government of Andhra Pradesh in initiating action against Jaganmohan for allegedly indulging in corruption and laundering money when Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was the CM. “We are in a position to establish with conclusive proof material … that the 6th respondent (Jaganmohan) has committed offences under sections 8 and 9 of the Prevention of Corruption Act,’’ the

petition says.
