PFA anti-rabies camp held, stray dogs vaccinated

People for Animals (PFA) organised anti rabies vaccination and Animals Welfare Camp at PFA Hospital & Shelter vill khawjke Rahon road. In this camp anti Rabies vaccines were given to all the stray dogs in the PFA shelter house and surrounding villages and number of pets were brought by their owners for vaccination. ARV vaccines were provided by Animal Husbandry Deptt. Punjab, deworming doses were given to all the dogs & large animals. Ajay Jain, President, PFA informed that Rabies is a deadly virus that attacks the CNS (central nervous system) and causes acute encephalitis. It is transmitted from animals to humans (zoonotic), most commonly by animal bites, mostly dogs.
