Dr Prateek Bhatia, Assistant Professor, Department of Pediatrics, PGIMER, Chandigarh has been awarded the Young Scientist Travel Award, aomunting to 100,000 Yen, by the Japanese Society of Hematology and has been invited to attend their 74th Annual Meeting to be held at Kyoto, Japan in October.

He has been invited to Kyoto to give an oral presentation on his research paper titled 'Clinical Hematological, Molecular and follow-up profile of BCR-ABL positive Acute Leukemia'.

He was selected for the award on the basis of his recent publications and research in the field of acute leukemias.

The research is part of the study that was carried out jointly by the Departments of Pediatrics, Hematology and Internal Medicine, PGIMER, Chandigarh.
