X Si is keeping her busy for now

When it comes to shutterbugs many like her would never be happy with one camera and Charu Sood is no different. After an array of non-complicated digital cameras, she has for now settled for EOS rebel Canon XSi. “A gift from my husband, it’s been with me since December,” she holds it upright to capture the beautiful rainy day. One that’s accentuated with birds, blossoms and freshly washed greens. One shot and and she returns to us. “Getting a picture perfect sight is difficult but a camera that does justice to it is difficult to find,” says Sood, as she moves to show and describe other features. “Not only does its performance and image quality stand out, this camera also has an operational advantage over competitors. With its option of My Menu, you can build a ‘go-to list’ of the most frequently accessed menu settings—in my case, for instance, Format and Live View settings,” she chirps to go on the display mode.

While it’s slightly larger than the earlier version XTi, what made her zero-in on the camera was the fact that almost all the buttons lie under the right hand, and each feels slightly different so that one can grope them without looking. “None require two-handed operation: when you push the button to change ISO, white balance, metering, and

so on, the menu persists while you navigate the options,” Sood lists, now settling for a frame with daughter Tvishaa and nice Samaira sitting pretty. “Other than this, I love to click places as I globe trot from Paris, Scotland to Spain,” she smiles now hoping to capture the true Indian culture.
